Positions of accessory spleens found at fifty-six operations. Figures indicate percentage of occurence.

In 85% of the cases the accessory speen was single, that is, in but one location. Eight instances of double location occured, distributed as follows:

in four cases at the splenic hilus and in the omentum
in two instances at the hilus and pedicle
in two, at the hilus and in the splenicocolic ligament
