This section cuts through the middle and distal phalanges of the third and fourth digits. Fibrous digital sheaths (7, 15, 24, 26) containing the tendons of flexor digitorum superficialis (5, 8, 16) and profundus (2, 5, 8, 17, 23, 28) can be seen. The tendons of lumbrical and dorsal interosseous muscles are identified (13, 20).
A proper palmer digital artery (22) and dorsal digital arteries (9, 11, 19) can be seen.
