This section passes through the scrotum (39), the right (40) and left (37) testes, and the proximal part of the thighs.

The muscles of the thigh include the anterior grouping innervated by the femoral nerve (7, 29), the medial (adductor) grouping innervated by the obturator nerve (18), and the posterior (hamstring) grouping innervated by the sciatic nerve ( 13, 21). These are discussed with the lower limb in Section 7.
