Arteries of the dorsum of the right foot

a) Talus (s. astragalus).
b) Calcaneus.
c) Tuberosity of the navicular bone.
d) Tuberosity of the Fifth metatarsal bone.

  1. dorsalis pedis artery (s. pediaea artery) Arises from the tibialis anterior artery.
  2. lateral tarsal artery.
  3. medial tarsal artery.
  4. metatarsal arteries from which the dorsal arch arises.
  5. dorsal metatarsal interosseous arteries.
  6. dorsal digital arteries of the foot.
  7. first dorsal interosseous artery with the lateral and medial dorsal hallucis arteries.
  8. departure of the deep plantar ramus.
